# Regulate your privacy settings

 Most social networks, such as
Facebook, twitter, Instagram, etc allow you to control who

 Think about who will be seeing the information you post. If your privacy settings are not controlled, you will be giving information about yourself out to anyone with access of the media..

# Ask him/ her for video call most time.

 I will like to tell you that, most scammer are from different country which might tell you that he or she is living in your country.

Some are black citizens, they might send you White citizens picture.

 So, first step to chat with a stranger is to ask for video call, if he can't provide it, then report as Spam or Block immediately.

 Don't wait up to a minutes before you block the account, because, they might hack your account also. So, be smart.

#Refuse to engage in financial
transactions on social networks

 Be cautious, do not trust requests for help that come to you over social networks. If the plea for money or assistance comes from a friend, call or text that person to find out if they are really in need of help.

 Though, you might which to do donations to your favourite website, friends, relative, e.t.c.

 But your have to reason well before your do such transaction, ask yourself, Why did i want to do this transaction? , ask you friend near your to get advice and use a better secure payments app.

 Social network is for worldwide friend, but since you know you might be scam, afford to accept friend request from person you don't know.

 If you have already accept such friend request, then watch their your chat with such person. Don't go straight forwards, never drop your useful details like, identity card number, voter card number, ATM card number, e.t.c.

#Don't Spread Your Income / Salary amount on social media.

 Online scammer only want your money, don't tell your new friend that your are rich, you might pretend like someone from poor family.

 This help you to stop them to use any of your details, or try to scam you.

#Don't try to access a sites with your login detail on public computers.

 Use your own computer instead of the computers at
libraries and other public places.

 Your login information can be stolen and used to gain more information about you.
